If the popup to automatically fill guest information into your Property Management System (PMS) isn’t appearing, follow these steps to verify and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check IDfill Status in the Task Tray
- Locate the Task Tray:
- Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen near the clock.
- If you don’t see the IDfill icon immediately, click the up arrow (^) to expand and view all task tray icons.
- Confirm IDfill is Running:
- Check for a green icon labeled “ID”. This indicates that the IDfill application is active.
- If the icon is not visible, proceed to Step 2 to relaunch IDfill.
Step 2: Launch IDfill from the Desktop
- Find the IDfill Shortcut:
- Go to your desktop and locate the IDfill icon.
- Open IDfill:
- Double-click the IDfill icon to start the application.
- Once it’s active, minimize it to keep it running in the task tray.
Step 3: Reboot Your Computer (if IDfill is Unresponsive)
- A full reboot can help restart all applications, including IDfill and Webscan, ensuring they run smoothly on startup.
- After rebooting, confirm that the green IDfill icon is visible in the task tray.
Additional Support: Install the Guest Ban Monitor
- For automatic monitoring and restart of IDfill and Webscan if they become unresponsive, check out our Guest Ban Monitor article for installation instructions.
- The Guest Ban Monitor runs in the background, ensuring IDfill and Webscan are always active for seamless PMS integration.
