No ID Being Scanned:
- Issue: The scanner does not detect or scan the ID.
- Solution:
- Stop Auto Scan: Click “Stop Auto Scan” in the Guest Ban Dashboard.
- Check the Webscan Icon: Ensure the orange Webscan icon is visible and running in your task tray (located at the bottom-right corner of your screen near the clock).
- Open the Task Tray Menu: Click on the small arrow next to the clock to open the task tray and confirm that the orange Webscan icon is active.
- If the Webscan icon is not visible or the scanner still isn’t working:
- Restart Webscan: Right-click the orange Webscan icon and select “Exit” to close the application.
- Restart Webscan Manually: After closing it, reopen Webscan by clicking its icon on your desktop.
2. Advanced Troubleshooting – Webscan Driver Frozen:
- Issue: The Webscan driver may have frozen and needs to be manually restarted.
- Solution:
- Open Task Manager:
- Right-click the taskbar (at the bottom of your screen) and select “Task Manager”.
- End the Webscan Task:
- In the Task Manager, scroll through the list of running processes to find “Webscan”.
- Click on Webscan and then click “End Task” to stop the process.
- Restart Webscan: After ending the task, relaunch Webscan by clicking on the desktop icon.

- Issue: If you frequently encounter frozen drivers or IDfill issues.
- Solution:
- Consider installing the Guest Ban Monitor, a tool that automatically checks if the Webscan driver or IDfill application is frozen and restarts them if necessary.
- This tool runs in the background, ensuring that your scanning process runs smoothly without the need for manual intervention.
